FICA Tax Codes

Illinois FICA and Medicare benefit charging requires a specific setup of the FICA Tax Codes.

Set Up FICA Tax Codes

Before generating reports, ensure that you enter valid FICA tax codes on the FICA Tax Table page.

1. On the start page, select Menu, then Human Resources, then Reference Tables, then Payroll, and select FICA Tax Codes.

2. Specify the search criteria to find the required codes.

3. Click Find.

4. To add a record, click Add New. Specify valid information in the required fields and click OK.

5. You can edit or delete records:

   • To edit a record, double-click the relevant record. 

   • To delete a record, click Delete. Click Yes.

     

     For FICA and Medicare tax types, select A - All Pay Rates in the Benefit Charging field.
